About this product
On July 24, 1534, Jacques Cartier introduced in America the fleur de lis emblem, a heraldic symbol already used by the Assyrians three thousand years before our era.
Some four centuries later, on January 21, 1948 to fifteen hours, the fleur took the place of Union Jack British flag atop the central tower of the Parliament building. The same morning, the government had granted the status of "official flag of Quebec."
