Philippe a déjà remporté nombre de prix importants dont le premier prix du Concours musical international de Montréal, le Concours des auditions nationales du Metropolitan Opera en 2011, le prix jeune soliste 2012 des Radios francophones publiques, ainsi que la bourse d'opéra Brian Law à Ottawa en 2010. Publié pour la première fois en 1823, écho discret d'amours déçues, le Lyrisches Intermezzo d'Heinrich Heine reste l'un des recueils les plus intéressants de son auteur. Il ne faut donc pas se surprendre que Robert Schumann et Joseph-Guy-Marie Ropartz, tous deux élevés dans l'amour de la littérature, aient souhaité mettre certaines de ces perles en musique. En écho à l'introduction en prose de Heine, l'album comprend aussi le Don Quichotte à Dulcinée de Ravel. ---------- Philippe has already won several important prizes such as the first prize of the Montreal International Musical Competition, Metropolitan Opera's National Council Auditions Competition in 2011, the Prix Jeune Soliste 2012 des Radios Francophones Publiques and the Brian Law Opera Scholarship in Ottawa in 2010. First published in 1823, a discrete echo of his lost loves, Heinrich Heine's collection Lyrisches Intermezzo is one of his most interesting works. It is hardly surprising, then, that Robert Schumann and Joseph-Guy-Marie Ropartz, both raised with a love of literature, would wish to set some of these gems to music. Also included on the album is Ravel's Don Quichotte à Dulcinée in the spirit of Heine's prosodic intro to the Intermezzo of poems.
